I am currently working at Tokopedia as a senior software engineer, building large scale software with microservices and distributed systems in mind. Handling APIs for thousands of requests per second with millions of users is not an easy task, and yet we made it. I think this is the best perks of working at one of the top tech companies in Indonesia.
My previous job was as a software engineer at Braincode, mainly focused on building software for corporate clients. I learned a lot while working in here, especially for the technical part. APIs, frontend, backend, databases and all the basic knowledge on how to build a software.
The funny part is, I am not really into coding while in college, Telkom University. Being surrounded with the best mind can make you rethink of what you should do. Seeing a lot of my friends capable of doing freelance projects, I decided to join the force but with a different role, a designer. I am not saying that this design portfolio is even good, but it brings me learning, opportunity and work experience with a lot of people.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing badminton and ping-pong to break the sweat. During the covid-19 pandemic, I spent a lot of my free time playing Dota 2 with my high school friends, just like the old time :)
